Debate Camp Mixer Tournament
1.1. Format:
1.1.1. The Championship will be held in ‘World Schools Style’ format with Mixer teams (three on three)
1.1.2. Debate Format Details
1.1.2.1. World Schools Debating Championship Style will be employed for the debating and adjudicating of this tournament.
1.1.2.1.1. All motions will be impromptu motions
1.1.2.1.2. Rounds with impromptu motions teams will be given 45 minutes to prepare.
1.1.2.1.3. All team members may prepare together and any 3 members can debate, once the round starts the remaining members are not allowed to assist their teammates any longer.
1.1.2.1.4. No electronic devices except for single purpose dictionaries are allowed, and all printed materials may be used during a debate but only hand written notes may be used while speaking.
1.2. Structure:
1.2.1. There will be 4 preliminary rounds of debate, after which the teams will break into three different flights
1.3. Participant Details:
1.3.1. the team must be comprised of individuals from different institutions, one university student is allowed
1.3.2. The selection and composition of a team is the matter for the member to decide. But the Organizing Committee is more than welcome to help assigning debaters into mixed teams
1.3.3. All nationalities are welcomed.
